How to Style A Casual Holiday Look

Happy Friday! Today’s look is holiday inspired, without being too dressy or over the top. This casual holiday look can take you from an afternoon office party to evening cocktails. The ruffles and pleats give these basic pieces a festive flare, while still being warm and comfortable for lounging around a fireplace.

In the past my idea of a holiday look has always been all things red, green and gold. And don’t get me wrong, I’m still a sucker for all things Xmas… probably because I grew up celebrating Chanukah and also, because I just love any opportunity to be festive!

The best part about this casual holiday look, is that it’s warm and cozy, yet still dressy enough to impress the in-laws or coworkers. The Zara pleated skirt and Storets ruffled sweater had me at “Hello” and both pieces are sure to become staples in my wardrobe. Add a pair of velvet sandals (ankle boots or pointy toed pumps might be a better choice if you live in a cooler climate), sparkly earrings and a classic bag and your ready for some holiday cheer!
