Happy Monday! I hope you had a fun and relaxing weekend!
This is my last look from my Encino adventure with Amina a few weeks ago. In between our visit to Michael Jackson’s estate and Lake Balboa, we paid a visit to Los Encinos State Historic Park where I spent countless hours chasing after ducks as a little girl. As you can see from these photos not much has changed. If you’ve never been to this historic park, I would highly recommend packing up a picnic and making an afternoon of it. It’s quite small and has changed a little since I was a child, but it certainly hasn’t lost it’s charm. You can purchase handfuls of bird feed for a quarter each, so I kept going back for more. There is just something special about wearing a flower head crown and being surrounded by flocks of birds, ducks and geese. I felt like I was in a fairytale until I became acquainted with this aggressive little goose above.
At first he seemed like he wanted to be my new BFF, but don’t let his sweet little face fool you. He started stalking me for more food, but as soon as I let him eat out of my hand he bit me with his sharp beak and drew blood! Luckily there is a very clean bathroom at the park and a first aid kit in the trunk of my car. The next day the tooth mark seemed to miraculously heel… just like a fairytale after all.
Goodnight Macaroon dress. Top Shop floral head crown (similar here). Mango gladiator sandals (similar here). Nasty Gal bag. Stella and Dot earrings.
You can visit Los Encinos State Historic Park Wednesday through Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. Be sure to check the park’s website for more information on exhibitions and events here.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
