Happy Friday! Mo and I shot these photos last week, just before Thanksgiving. We realized that we had been shooting together for just over a year, so we decided to go back to the first location we ever shot at. The Venice canals are such a unique place and it always amazes me how you can go from town to town in Southern California and find such vastly different communities and settings. This one never grows old with it’s artistic and bohemian flare. I had a good laugh watching the ducks, dive into the water head first, waving their little bottoms in the air. We kept walking along admiring the sunset and the homes along the canal, before we stumbled upon this band playing on the bridge, while being recorded by a drone. It reminded me so much of the movie Begin Again. Definitely one of my favorite romantic comedies ever. If you haven’t seen it, I would highly recommend it!
This outfit was put together from much loved and regularly worn pieces in my closet. I wanted to style this white eyelet dress for Fall, so I layered it with a Jacquard pullover and added a cute red, white and blue beret that I thrifted years ago. We were in such a hurry that I forgot to button the top, so unfortunately you can see the white of my dress peeking through. Also, this is the first time I am wearing these comfy suede flats on the blog. I bought them on sale at Tommy Hilfiger this summer, but only started wearing them a couple of weeks ago when the weather cooled down. They’re so comfy that I’ve been wearing them non-stop ever since.
